Andrea has been a paediatric clinical pharmacist in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool https://alderhey.nhs.uk/ since 1991.  Andrea has developed clinical expertise in paediatric pain and sedation, paediatric critical care and medication safety.  She chairs the hospital Medication Safety Committee and is also employed as Senior Research Pharmacist within the Paediatric Medicines Research Unit based in the hospital https://alderhey.nhs.uk/healthier-future/research/paediatric-medicines-research-unit?q=%2Fhealthier-future%2Fresearch%2Fpaediatric-medicines-research-unit.

She has been a member of the national organising committee of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group since 2008 and represents the group as a member of the European Paediatric Formulations Initiative http://www.eupfi.org/.  

Andrea was accredited as a Consultant Pharmacist by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in March 2022.
