The NPPG Information Support Service is run by a Northern Consortium with Chris Paget (Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital) as the named Information Officer, Nicola Vasey (The Great North Children’s Hospital) who will deputise for Chris and Paula Russell and her team (Regional Drug and Therapeutics Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne) who will provide the MI support The team:

• aims to keep members up-to-date with information that is relevant to their practice
• co-ordinates and reviews NPPG responses to relevant consultations from national and international organisations such as NICE, Department of Health, European Medicines Agency, NHS England
• acts as the contact point for specialist paediatric advice on content for the BNF for Children and the paediatric monographs of the Injectable Medicines Guide
• acts as a link between UKMi and NPPG, and have authored a joint-badged UKMi/NPPG Q&A on how medicines should be dosed in children who are obese
