Paediatric Script
Paediatric SCRIPT is an eLearning programme, commissioned by Health Education England, specifically designed to encourage safe and effective prescribing by newly qualified doctors and other healthcare professionals. It recognises the error rates associated with prescribing and sets out to address these risks by covering a wide range of topics designed to further both knowledge and practical skills. The paediatric SCRIPT suite is now available free of charge to NHS staff, both doctors and non-medical prescribers, via the safeprescriber.org website . The paediatric programme consists of 24 modules including principles of prescribing in paediatrics such as developmental pharmacology; general therapeutics, such as management of the acutely unwell child and paediatric emergencies; and advanced therapeutics, such as prescribing in paediatric intensive care and malignancy. It is designed to be completed at your own pace and to support your in-house training. Please make use of this great resource to improve your prescribing practice or refer staff you are supervising to it
