Nanna Christiansen has specialised in paediatrics for over 15 years, working at the Royal London Hospital, University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she completed her MSc.

After being the lead for paediatric pharmacy at Barts Health NHS Trust for over 10 years, she became Consultant Pharmacist for Paediatrics in 2016. During her time at Barts Health she completed her MBA and became an independent prescriber.

In 2018 she joined the Evelina London Children’s Hospital as the Associate Chief Pharmacist for Children’s services. The Evelina London is the second largest provider of specialist paediatric services in London, covering many different specialities.

Whilst still being a hands-on clinical pharmacist leading a team of about 30 staff at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, she is also a Honorary Research Associate for UCL School of Pharmacy and a Fellow of the Faculty of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. She writes and review papers and frequently supervises pre and post graduate research projects.

Nanna has been a committee member for the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group since 2015, work she very much enjoys and as Medusa IV guide board member is involved in the development of this national paediatric IV guide. Locally, she is chair of the Paediatric Medicines Committee, secretary to the Paediatric Guidelines Committee and responsible for the paediatric formulary.
