Committee meetings

Aim
The NPPG PC sub-group primarily focuses on pharmacists working within paediatric cardiology. The aim of the subgroup is to be representative of PC pharmacists across the nation and to facilitate appropriate and efficient use of medicines and pharmaceutical care for patients in PCC.

There will be some cross-over and jointed up working with the NICU and PICU subgroups, with shared learning.

Objectives:

1. To support, promote and advise on delivery of best pharmaceutical care to PC patients.
2. To maintain a network and provide a platform for paediatric cardiology pharmacy staff to enhance management of children’s medicines, sharing good practice and reducing duplication of work.
3. To represent and champion PC pharmacy within the NPPG.
4.  To develop links with Networks and encourage pharmacist PC membership.
5. To develop educational resources and signpost to resources developed by other providers.
6. To assist NPPG committee responses to national consultations.
