APEX – Professional leadership and partnerships

NPPG works collaboratively with national pharmacy organisations to ensure that neonatal and paediatric pharmacy expertise is represented within the wider professional leadership landscape.
.
NPPG is a member of the Alliance of Pharmacy Expert Groups (APEX), working alongside the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA), UK Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA), College of Mental Health Pharmacy (CMHP) and Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA). APEX brings together independent pharmacy expert and practice organisations representing pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in specialist and advanced areas of practice across the UK.
.
Through APEX, member organisations work collectively to strengthen the voice of specialist pharmacy practice, share expertise and provide coordinated professional leadership input, while retaining their individual identities, governance and responsibilities to their members.
.
This collaborative approach supports the direction established through the UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board (UKPPLAB) Concordat for Delivery*, which sets out a commitment to a more collaborative, inclusive and sustainable model of pharmacy professional leadership. The Concordat specifically provides for APEX to work in partnership with the Royal College of Pharmacy and other pharmacy professional leadership bodies.
.
.
NPPG is represented through APEX within the Co-Creation Liaison Group (CCLG), hosted by the Royal College of Pharmacy and also including APTUK, helping to ensure that the perspectives of neonatal and paediatric pharmacists and pharmacy technicians  are represented as the future professional leadership model develops.
