Joe qualified from Queens University, Belfast in 2006 and moved into paediatrics when he joined the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children in 2013.  He has worked across a range of clinical specialties and is now lead pharmacist for paediatric critical care and surgery.

 

He became an independent prescriber in 2012 and completed an MSc in Advanced Pharmacy Practice in 2014.  Joe provides post-graduate education with the Northern Ireland centre for pharmacy learning and development and is research project supervisor with Queens University.

 

Joe has chaired the NI NPPG group since 2021 and joined the NPPG committee in April 2023 as representative for Northern Ireland.  He looks forward to strengthening relationships and collaboration across all regions represented in the NPPG membership.
